Librarian Psychic Hood Conversion

The great piece of artwork above shows the idea very well, my thanks to the artist for using it but I don't know who they are.

Essentially I tried out a technique that Ron at 'From the Warp' blog demonstrated, see picture below.

The idea is simple, cut out two sections from a plain shoulder pad. 

When I tried it, I cut the two sections unevenly and ended up having to cut the sections off completely. After cutting, just file the edges smooth. 

I also used a small Aquila, cut in half, which I glued to the top section to add interest and draw the eye. 

It worked out well in the end so don’t worry if your cutting is not that accurate, give it a try.
